HandsOn Hong Kong Gala Dinner

Over 150 guests came out on Saturday night to support HandsOn Hong Kong. Celebrating 4 years of service in Hong Kong, HandsOn hosted the gala dinner at the beautiful American Club in Tai Tam. After cocktails on the veranda, master of ceremonies Andrew Work welcomed the crowd. HandsOn Hong Kong founder Shaun Bernier spoke about how far the organization has come in its 4 years – we now have 3,000 registered volunteers, run 40 events a month, and last year gave 4,000 hours of service to the community! – and HandsOn China founder, Richard Brubaker, talked about how much more we can do in our community.

With that as inspiration, guests bid on fabulous items through the silent auction and made generous pledges to support the expansion of our programs and training of volunteers. Finally, guests were treated to a live auction run by Jonathan Stone, Chairman of Asian Art from Christie’s. All said, the event raised over HK$450,000 to support volunteerism in Hong Kong.
