Crisis in Myanmar (Burma) and China: How You Can Help

The recent cyclone in Myanmar (Burma) and the earthquake in Sichuan province have claimed the lives of tens of thousands and left hundreds of thousands homeless.

Please consider making a donation to the relief efforts in Sichuan province and Myanmar. Web sites, such as the Network for Good, provide information about the aid organizations responding to the crises and also allow individuals to make donations online to these organizations.

Thank you to the Hands On members who attended the May 15 fundraiser for Myanmar at the Karin Weber Gallery. More than $35,000USD was raised for the World Food Programme's (WFP) relief efforts. The WFP is one of the few international aid organizations granted permission by the government to work on the ground in Myanmar.

HOHK is working with its affiliate in Chengdu to aid the relief efforts in Sichuan. Visit the News & Events page for more information.
