HandsOn seeks a Marketing & Communications Intern.
Our Marketing & Communications Intern will support all of HandsOn Hong Kong’s communications efforts—reporting to the Associate Director.
End June to end August 2020 – 3 days per week preferred. Internship period and work arrangement flexible and open to discussion.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Use design skills to assist with the updating of HandsOn infographics and artworks and Impact Reports for our community service week, Serve-a-thon.
Managing and developing HandsOn Hong Kong website content including image updating and copy development;
Drafting and scheduling content for social media posts across all HandsOn platforms, in keeping with our established tone and voice;
Assisting with the planning, content development and scheduling of monthly HandsOn newsletters sent to our database of 24,000 contacts;
Help to maintain a database of volunteer, NGO, marketing and corporate contacts;
Support the HandsOn team as needed both in preparation for—and on-site at—volunteer programs.
All members of the HOHK team need to be passionate about community involvement and fully committed to our mission. You must be organized, dependable and able to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal supervision. Enthusiasm and a “can-do spirit” are essential for this internship.
Specific skills required include:
Experience using Illustrator design software is essential;
The ability to work independently;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint and Excel;
Have a good command of written and spoken English and ideally Cantonese—translation skills preferred.
