Volunteering with HandsOn
HandsOn offers a variety of volunteer programs that you can participate in. You just need to sign up for a specific project. Please follow these easy steps to get started:
1. Create an account for yourself
a. Click “Sign Up/ Registration”
b. Fill in the necessary information
c. After you have submitted your information, you should receive an email with further instructions
d. Follow the instructions in the email to create your password and complete the registration process
e. You are now ready to sign up for a volunteer opportunity
If you do not receive a instructional email, double check that you have entered the correct email address.

2. If you already have an account, click the "Log In" button at the right corner
Volunteers must be logged in to sign up for volunteer opportunities
3. Pick a volunteer opportunity and sign up
a. Go to our volunteer opportunities calendar to see upcoming activities
b. Click on the specific opportunity of your choice
c. Fill in the necessary information to sign up
You are all done. We will send you a confirmation email shortly after and a reminder email 1-2 days prior to the activity.
4. Sign up early as space is limited at each of our volunteer opportunities
a. Registration closes by Thursday morning for all weekend volunteer activities
b. If you would like to bring a friend to the session, please ask them to create an account and sign up separately
c. If the session is full, please volunteer with your friend at the next opportunity
d. If you are unable to sign up for an event due to internet difficulties, please contact the HandsOn office via email
a. After you have signed up, you should immediately receive an email confirmation of your registration. This email will confirm your place in the particular activity that you've chosen.
b. Your reminder email will include the mobile number of the volunteer leader for your session, detailed directions to the volunteer site or meeting point, a description of the volunteer activity and any other relevant information you’ll need to know. If you have any further questions, please contact your volunteer leader directly.
a. If you need to cancel you registration, you may do so online before the registration deadline
b. If you are unable to attend the volunteer session and did not cancel your registration in time, please contact the volunteer leader to notify him/her as soon as possible.
You will receive our reminder email 1-2 days before the event. This is important information that will confirm your onsite team leader contact details, meeting location, meeting time etc. Please refer to the information in this reminder email as the confirmed details of the activity.
