Bringing Christmas joy to elderly citizens at the China Coast Community

Description: This activity invites volunteers and their children to spread holiday warmth and joy to the elderly by joining them for a Christmas party at the China Coast Community (CCC) where they live. CCC provides residential care to English-speaking elderly residents of Hong Kong.  These beneficiaries take great pleasure in the company of young people.
 
When volunteers arrive they will help to pack small gifts for the residents. Each volunteer and their child will then be paired up with a resident to play games with them, enjoy some party food and simply spend time chatting together and reading some Christmas books.
 
Requirements: This activity is designed for families to sign up as a pair—one adult/guardian with one child aged 5-10 years. The guardian should sign up to this activity (after registering with HandsOn Hong Kong) and then send an email to hohk@handsonhongkong.org with their own name plus the name and age of their child. Volunteers not accompanied by a child may not be accepted. This activity is for English speaking volunteers.
 
內容：本次活動邀請志願者及其子女去參加在中國海岸老人院舉辦的聖誕晚會，為老年人帶來節日溫暖，歡樂和歡度佳節。 中國海岸老人院為本港講英語的長者提供住宿照顧。 這些受益人對年輕人很感興趣。

當志願者到達時，他們將幫助為居民收拾小禮物。 每個志願者和他們的孩子將與一個老年人配對，與他們玩遊戲，享受一些派對食物，一起聊天和閱讀聖誕故事。

語言：懂英文之義工優先

活動要求：這項活動旨在讓家庭成員與一名5至10歲的兒童成對/監護。 所有參與這個活動的義工都必須是牽手香港的註冊義工。如有志願者希望參與是次活動，必須先註冊成為牽手香港的義工，然後登記此活動。監護人應註冊參加此活動（在HandsOn Hong Kong註冊後），然後發送電子郵件至hohk@handsonhongkong.org，提供自己的名字及孩子的姓名和年齡。 由於活動鼓勵家庭義工，家庭義工將會優先。此活動適用於講英語的志願者。
