Help at Roller Skating Activity with Students with Intellectual Disabilities
Description: Under professional instructions, volunteers will support the students with intellectual disabilities throughout the training of roller skating. Big thank to Hong Kong Roller Derby for providing the pro bono services.
Volunteers will take care of the children and guide them while they are practicing.
About the NGO: Hong Chi Morningjoy School, Yuen Long is the first school for students with moderate intellectual disabilities in HK that has a dormitory which offers continuing education and 5 or 7-day residence for these children. The school not only encourages students to participate in activities and train for independence in order to assimilate into the society, it also strives to increase the general public’s understanding and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities.

活動簡介：在導師指導下, 義工將會與特殊學校的智障學生一同學習滾軸溜冰，在練習的過程中，協助照顧學生及指導他們。感謝Hong Kong Roller Derby提供義務培訓。
機構簡介：匡智元朗晨樂學校是全港第一所學校宿舍相連的中度智障特殊學校，為智障學生提供五天或七天住宿。學校不但鼓勵學生參加不同活動，訓練他們的獨立能力以融入社會，更致力提高大眾對智障人士的了解和接受程度。
