Help Set Up the Redress Sort-a-thon
Description:
The environmental charity Redress will be running a Sort-a-thon in the aim of setting up and sorting through all of the clothing collected in the Get Redressed Clothing Drive. Volunteers will be setting up for the event, and sorting through clothing donations and directing them for resale, reuse by our 20+ local charity partners, up-cycling and recycling, depending on the type and quality of the clothing.
What you will do:
1 ）Help create the clothing mountain by pouring clothes from boxes
2 ）Replenish clothing on tables
3 ）Support the sorting process by cross-checking clothes are going to the right category
Due to the specific nature of this task, we'll ask all volunteers signing up for Sort-A-Thon event days (June 6-8) to also join a training session on May 23rd afternoon (details will be sent by email). During the training, we'll teach you how the sorting is done so you can support others during the event.
Remarks:
1. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age
2. Please dress casually with closed-toe shoes and bring your own bottle of water
3. Redress staff may take photos to record the activity for the purpose of sharing and promoting the charity's work. Please inform a staff member on-site if you are uncomfortable with being photographed.
