COVID-19 Relief: Refurbishing computers to support disadvantaged students
Description: Given the impact of COVID-19, schools are suspended and online teaching is the only way for students to learn currently. However, many students from low income families are not equipped with computers or other technologies that are essential for learning from home. Crossroads Foundation is now urgently seeking for volunteers to refurbish a large number of used computers donated by companies, for immediate distribution to disadvantaged students in Hong Kong. *No prior IT experience needed for volunteers--just an ability to follow clear instructions. Volunteers who can sign up for two sessions per week are preferable and highly encouraged. Remarks: In response to COVID-19, volunteers should please bring and wear their own masks during service. Centre staff and volunteers will adopt HandsOn Hong Kong COVID-19 safety precautions in-line with Centre for Health Protection guidelines.
