Prepare Veggies at Food Station in Lai Chi Kok (Youth welcome)
Since all kitchens and Food Station of Food Angel hold a Food Factory License, to comply with the government's latest epidemic prevention guidelines for the catering business, all volunteers must present a negative test report for COVID-19 within 14 days before serving.
Description: Food Angel is a food rescue and food assistance program with the mission of "Waste Not, Hunger Not, With Love". The program rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be disposed of as waste. Following strict safety protocols, the rescued food items will then be prepared as nutritious hot meals in their central kitchens and be redistributed to serve the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong. In this activity, volunteers will be helping with non-cooking duties at the Lai Chi Kok Food Station - preparing and sorting the raw vegetables, e.g. cutting away the yellowish parts, which will be transferred to the kitchens for cooking on another day. All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with Hands On and sign up for the activity.由於惜食堂所有廚房及惜食分餉站均持有食物製造廠牌照。為配合政府對餐飲業最新防疫指引，即日起所有義工於服務前均須出示14天內的新冠肺炎陰性檢測報告。如有不便，懇請各位體諒！
