Mission to New ArrivalsThe Creation Farm and the Life Building Center

The Life Building Centre is under a local NGO namely Mission To New Arrivals Ltd., and is located at a previous village school in a remote area in Fanling. This Fanling centre focuses on serving around 12-13 old villages nearby. There are a lot of elderly living alone in real old houses, some under-privileged women and teenagers who are isolated from the society. Those three are the active users of their services. The centre was established 6-7 years before. It aims at life education, environmental education and promoting cultural heritage. They provide different types of workshops to teenagers to build up their confidence and give them space to do gardening for leisure. To elderly, there are home visits, festival parties and interest classes. They also provide eco-tour to public to visit the farm, and a cultural tour introducing Hakka culture.
