Title:
Program Coordinator (Corporate)

Reports to:
Senior Program Manager

Direct reports:
Freelance and intern position as needed

Job purpose: The Program Coordinator (Corporate) supports the development and execution of meaningful community engagement programs that meet the needs of our NGO partners and support corporate CSR and employee engagement goals

Place of work:
HandsOn Hong Kong office, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon
Program work throughout Hong Kong (occcasional program work in China e.g. Shenzhen/ Guangzhou mainly)
Full-time position

Main duties:

  • Plan, organize and manage corporate volunteer programs and events in coordination with NGO partners, including the procurement of program materials and/or external facilitator when needed

  • Develop detailed timelines, program outlines, briefing documents and follow up impact reports for corporate clients

  • Execute corporate volunteer programs and events, providing on-site leadership and support; this may include leading interactive activities with volunteers and beneficiaries, presenting briefings and demonstrations to volunteers

  • Under the guidance of the team, proactively get to know the beneficiary groups and social needs for thoughtful planning and execution

  • Research, identify and build new partnerships with NGOs to expand corporate volunteer program network

  • Maintain good documentation of program, volunteers’ and beneficiaries’ information

  • Liaise with the Head of Communications on reporting and communications of corporate programs; provide ongoing updates to entire HOHK team on new corporate programs

  • Regularly and assess corporate volunteer programs for continual improvement

  • Mentor and supervise freelance staff and interns as needed

  • Assist and support HOHK programs, reporting and fundraising, such as Serve-a-thon, Hike for Hong Kong, Drink for Good and the annual report

  • Build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission and development goals of the organization

Skills required:

  • 2-3 years of event management at agency, corporate or NGO

  • Strong organization and communication skills

  • Outgoing personality to actively engage volunteers and beneficiaries

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

  • Passion for community involvement and commitment to HOHK’s mission of service

  • Written and spoken Cantonese and English required
