HandsOn seeks a Program Intern
Job summary:
Our Program Intern will mainly support the team that runs up to 150 volunteer activities each month in support of 100 NGO partners. This team comprises of a Program Manager for NGO Engagement and a Volunteer Service Administrator —the team is overseen by Associate Director.
Internship period:
The internship is expected to begin immediately, preferred 2-3 days per week. The internship period and work arrangement are flexible and open to discussion.
Key roles and responsibilities:

Work with the team to provide administrative support that allows the effective management and smooth running of the HandsOn volunteer services.

Support the training, recruitment, and recognization for volunteers and volunteer leaders.

Attend a range of our calendar programs and make observations and notes on activity format, volunteer experience and other ways the activity could be enriched;

Suggest ideas for potential new volunteer programs;

Develop and maintain HOHK database of NGO, volunteer and marketing contacts;

Develop and maintain the list of grants HOHK could possibly apply for;

Assist with the management of virtual COVID-19 relief programs;

Presentation of findings and recommendations upon the conclusion of the internship.
Job requirements:
All members of the HOHK team need to be passionate about community involvement and fully committed to our mission. You must be organized, dependable and able to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal supervision. Enthusiasm and a “can-do spirit” are essential for this internship.
Specific skills required include:

Be able to work independently;

Be proficient in computer application (including Microsoft Office, English and Chinese word processing if possible);

Have a good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese.
