NGO mission and description of the organization's work
|
The Hub is a charity that provides educational and counselling services, and free fresh fruit to underprivileged families. It also provides a safe space where children can go after school or in the holidays while their parents may be at work. The Hub organizes a variety of interest classes, outdoor activities including volunteering, and parent-child activities to help foster children's overall growth and development in all aspects.
The Hub's objectives include:
1. To help children and youth reach their academic potential and to support their physical and psychosocial development
2. To enhance children and youth's social responsibilities, so they can both receive and give back to the community
3. To provide a facility to assist underprivileged families when they have problems
4. To spread awareness and enable the public and business leaders in Hong Kong to better understand the situation of economically distressed families

Impact of skills-based volunteer support on NGO and mission |
Help alleviate the staff's workload and limited manpower so they can better focus on fulfilling the NGO's core mission. Make the presentation of various provided activities more appealing, clearly and creatively organized.
