COVID-19 Relief: Distributing Care Packages for To Kwa Wan low-income families
The program is made possible through a generous donation from the Macquarie Group Foundation.
Description: More than 20% of our population lives in poverty, surviving on less than HK$4,000 each month and was struggling to make ends meet even before this pandemic. Now, with many of them living in fear and having their livelihoods impacted, they are in more dire need than ever.
Part of the burden on Hong Kong’s low-income families (and the community centres acting as their lifeline), can be eased through the provision of relief Care Packages. Each pack will last a household for one week.
Volunteer roles:
· Volunteers will receive a short briefing and protective gear (masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers) upon arriving at the community centre.
· Volunteers will help to sort and assemble Care Package items including essential food and hygiene items and other necessities
· Volunteers will support centre staff with the distribution of these relief packs when families arrive for collection during last two sessions.
· Please be aware of the service involves heavy lifting.
Volunteer safety:

提供物資可以減輕香港低收入家庭（以及為其提供服務的社區中心）的部分負擔。 每份物資包將支援一個家庭一週的生活所需。
義工角色：
- 每位義工抵達中心之時，中心工作人員將會提供指引及相關保護物品（口罩、手套及酒精搓手液）。
- 義工將幫忙把遞送物資分裝入袋，及協助中心職員在機構中心直接分發這些物資給到場領取的家庭。
- 請注意此服務涉及重物搬運。
